A game that highlights how urban sprawl disrupts wildlife movement and contributes to deforestation.
2025
Abstract
This game highlights how urban sprawl disrupts wildlife movement and contributes to deforestation.
Players control four animals while using human-made obstacles to block one another, mirroring how development fragments habitats.
Urban Sprawl
Uncontrolled, unplanned expansion of cities into surrounding natural areas.

TEAM IDEATION SKETCHES
Each member brainstormed 5 thumbnails individually. We then met together to discuss and vote. From there, concept sketches were developed.
By this process, we aligned our project theme and direction.

BOARD IDEATION PROCESS
Our team members knew we wanted something 3D, but still simple and familiar.
Rough planning sketch on how to achieve the board elegantly.
BOARD PROTOTYPES
After play-testing, we were certain that the board will be transparent.
This solves the issue of players having to constantly flip the board back and forth, disrupting the immersiveness and quiet concentration.

Prototype 2 setting measurements .
MAKING-PROCESS
Once the team’s goals and the project’s components-needed were clear and aligned, it was go time.
